For now, liquid oxygen has been widely used in hospitals, especially for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. A complete liquid oxygen station involves pressure vessels(liquid oxygen tanks) and oxygen, which pose risks. If the use and management of liquid oxygen stations are not good, it is easy to cause major accidents, so the correct use and safety management of liquid oxygen stations are very important.
Liquid oxygen tank should be settled outdoors. The settlement site should have excellent ventilation conditions. ‚ The fence facilities and surrounding environmental channels should be convenient for tank trucks to enter and fill, and the upper part of the liquid oxygen storage tank can be covered with a lightweight sunshade and rainproof roof.
The distance between equipment and combustible buildings should not be less than 15 meters, and the distance between equipment and fireproof buildings should not be less than 7.5 meters. Smoking and fire are strictly prohibited within at least 5 meters around the equipment, and sparks should be avoided in the operating area together.
Vented gas or liquid that is necessary to be discharged in case of an accident should flow to a designated safe location.
A dedicated person should be designated to be responsible for the liquid oxygen station. Liquid oxygen storage tanks are special equipment, and operators need to undergo technical and safety knowledge training and obtain operation qualification certificates before they can operate. It is necessary for operators to be familiar with the technical performance and operating procedures of the system equipment. ‚ To follow the operating procedures and procedures, first open the liquid valve, and then open the oxygen supply valve to the terminal. Operators must be slow when open the valve, and gloves must be worn.
